Career
| Singh began her career as a model before moving to the big screen. After completing her university studies, she began modeling with brands such as ICICI Bank and Alukkas Jewelery, among others. She caught the eye after playing in a Gulzar Sunset Point clip.A musical video of singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya followed. Subsequently, she made her debut with Sudhir Mishra's film Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi in 2003 . The role was widely praised: a Washington Post magazine noticed her for "giving her character a deep sense of dignity and decency". She took a break to act from 2005 to 2008.
