| Zaira Wasim is an Indian actress. She made her acting debut with the biographical sports drama Dangal (2016) and followed with a lead role in the musical drama Secret Superstar (2017), which are among the most profitable Indian films of all time. The first ranks among the most profitable films in China and the last is the most profitable Indian film with a female protagonist of all time. Wasim's acclaimed performance of Indian sportswoman Geeta Phogat in the premiere earned her the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress, and an ambitious singer in the latter earned her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress . | Zaira Wasim was born in Kashmir, India, from Zahid and Zarqa Wasim. His father works as executive director Srinagar and his mother is a teacher. She finished her tenth year at the St. Paul International Academy in Sonwar Bagh, Srinagar, for which she obtained 92 per cent of the Commission's examinations. She is currently a 12-year-old student in the humanities section of Jammu's Heritage School, under the Central Office of Secondary Education. Before Hindi films, Wasim played in two television commercials. His first film in 2016, Dangal, became a major commercial success. Aamir Khan joined her at the age of 14.In 2017, she starred in Secret Superstar. She was chosen for the role of the director of the film Advait Chandan by Aamir Khan and impressed by her screen test. Chandan had told Khan that he was looking for an actor of the same age for his lead role in future films. Her portrayal of an aspiring female singer earned her a nomination for Best Actress and she received the Film Critic's Award for Best Actress. Tags:
