| Tisca Chopra is an Indian actress, author and film producer. She has starred in more than 45 feature films in various languages with many eminent directors such as Aamir Khan, Prakash Jha, Madhur Bhandarkar, Abhinay Deo, Nagesh Kukunoor and Anup Singh. Taare Zameen Par, his best-known film, was India's official entry to the Academy Awards. She also won her film and other nominations. Another feature film, Qissa, premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2013 and won the prestigious NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film. The film has traveled to more than 20 festivals, winning almost all major awards and a great appreciation of the public and critics. Tisca completed her BA in literature at the University of Delhi and did a lot of theater work. She perfected her art with Naseeruddin Shah and theater director Feroz Khan. Her performance in the Pulitzer Prize winning play, Dinner With Friends, on the state of modern marriage, has been a success in India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. A practicing Buddhist, she is constantly working on issues such as gender equality, the girl child and the environment. She worked with Sam Pitroda on the National Knowledge Commission to help reorganize the education system. |

| In 2004, she played the role of Prabhavati Devi in Loknayak of Prakash Jha. In 2007, she appeared in Taare Zameen Par with Aamir Khan, where her performance was highly appreciated. She played in Nandita Das's first film, Firaaq (2008).In 2011, she appeared in Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji of Madhur Bhandarkar. For 10ml Love, which is based on Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dreams, Tisca was nominated for the 11th edition of the New Indian Indian Film Festival. His film Ankur Arora Murder Case, written and produced by Vikram Bhatt, was released in May 2013.His other notable films are Qissa by Anup Singh, with Irrfan Khan released in 2013, has traveled to more than 20 festivals, winning almost all awards and appreciation from audiences and critics and Rahasya by UVI Film Production.
