| Sai Tamhankar is an Indian actress known for her work in Hindi and Marathi cinema and television. She made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with Subhash Ghai's Black & White thriller. His first break came from the Marathi soap opera Ya Gojirvanya Gharat. She has since played in other Marathi series such as Agni Shikha, Sathi Re and Kasturi. After a few critically acclaimed performances, 2015 marked a turning point for Tamhankar, who met with great success with his role in the romantic comedy Hunterrr. | Tamhankar made his Bollywood debut in 2008 in Subhash Ghai's Black & White thriller, and began working with Aamir Khan in Ghajini and making his Marathi debut with Sanai Choughade the same year.His first break came from the Marathi soap opera Ya Gojirvanya Gharat. She has also appeared in other television shows such as Fu Bai Fu as an anchor, as well as Sathi Re, Kasturi, Agni Shikha and Anubandha. She has delivered Marathi hits such as Balak-Palak (2013) who earned 12 crores at the box office, the super-hit Duniyadari (2013) who earned 28 crores, Tu Hi Re (2015) who reported 6, 5 crores,) which yielded 21 crores and Vajandar (2016) which generated 4.5 crores.
Tamhankar has been a strong advocate of breaking stereotypes by challenging conventional and societal norms with her bold choices in her acting career. She has been associated with various social outreach initiatives such as the Shramdaan Foundation with Paani on Maharashtra Day, Shining through Silence for hearing impaired children, CINE-MAA, an inspirational lecture on Red FM India and Abhyaas Galli reforms for the underprivileged .
