- She is at school time excelled at Sailing (sport). She won as many as 3 gold medals in a calendar year, at the sports meet in sailing events at Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) and Chilka Lake (Orissa).
- She was also a Naval NCC cadet. Notably, she won the best cadet award in the year 2004.
- Her journey in the Kannada film industry began on a disappointing note as her debut film, Abhimaan (2009), couldn’t perform well at the box-office.
- She had a “déjà vu” moment when her debut Bollywood movie, Ajab Gazabb Love (2012), also met the same fate at cinema halls.
- She is an avid dog lover.
Career:
She first went into modeling, appearing in various television commercials, Fair and Lovely being the most notable, thanks to which she landed her first acting assignment . She made her acting debut with Abhimaani in 2009, which did not go well at the box office. She also played in Suri's Anna Bond, alongside Puneet Rajkumar and Priyamani. The film did quite well at the box office. She will make a special appearance in the Poornima Mohan School Days. Nidhi's first Bollywood release is entitled Oh My God, starring Akshay Kumar. She has an appearance in the movie. Nidhi's first film, Bollywood, as lead actress, was Ajab Gazabb Love, where she plays with Jackky Bhagnani.
