Salma Agha is a British singer and actress of Pakistani origin who sang and played in Hindi films in India in the 1980s and early 1990s. She was born in Karachi and raised in London, where she received several offers of films by Indian directors. Her first film was the Nikaah romance, for which she won the award for Best Female Filmfare Playback from four nominations and was also nominated in the Best Actress category. Agha was born in Karachi, Pakistan to Nasreen (née Zarina Ghaznavi) and Liaqat Gul Agha and grew up in London.  Her father was a successful businessman who sold carpets. Salma Agha has a long-standing relationship with London businessman Ayaz Sipra. Salma Agha was briefly married to Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh in the early 1980s.
