|Mohit Raina is an Indian actor and television personality.Raina is best known for his leading role as the Hindu god Shiva in the television series Devon Ke Dev - Mahadev and Mahabharat (TV series 2013), before playing soap operas including Chehra (2009) and Ganga Kii Dheej (2010). He began his acting career with a science-fiction television show called Antariksh (2004) and then played a role in Don Muthu Swami (2008), starring Mithun Chakraborty.
Raina was raised in Jammu, where he earned a degree in commerce. He moved to Mumbai to start a career in modeling.He hoped that the modeling would provide him with a route to the theater and would lose 29 kilograms of his 107 kilogram (236 kilogram) adolescent weight so that he could participate in the Grasim Mister India 2005 modeling contest. was placed among the top five competitors in this competition.

|His acting career began in 2006 when he starred in a science fiction television show called Antariksh. In 2008, he played the role of JaiKishan in the comedy film Don Muthu Swami, which was not a box office success and made it back on television.
In 2009, he appeared in the television series Chehra, a drama of suspense around a disabled girl. Raina played her husband Garv, a young business mogul.He was also part of Bandini. In December 2010, Raina starred in the show Ganga Kii Dheej.
In 2011, he was chosen as leader in Devon Ke Dev - Mahadev of Nikhil Sinha. The series focused on the god Shiva and describes his journey from a hermit to a householder through his marriage to Sati and later to Parvati. Raina worked on improving her physique for the role, and began learning the Indian classical dance form Kathak, which is integral to her role as Shiva. The Times of India said the role created fans because of its "fabulous abs, groovy smile and chops acting"He played over 30 different characters in the series, which lasted three years, until in December 2014.
