|Jim Sarbh is an Indian actor. Best known for his work in the Hindi Film Industry, he is the winner of a Screen Award, an International Indian Film Academy Award and a nomination for the Filmfare Award. In addition, Sarbh has directed and performed in many theatrical productions in India.Sarbh made his film debut in 2016, playing the antagonist in the biographical drama of Ram Madhvani, critically and commercially successful, Neerja; The role has earned him positive reviews from critics and awards such as a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor nomination and a Screen Award.
Jim Sarbh was born in Mumbai, in a Parsi family; his mother is a retired physiotherapist, and his father is a former naval captain, and the regional director of P & O Ports in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. He completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at Emory University, United States of America. He currently resides in Versova, Mumbai.

|After graduating from Emory University, Sarbh worked with the Alliance Theater in Atlanta for a year as a literary trainee. He has played around Atlanta in the 2009 productions such as The Show !, The Breakup, Tennis in Nablus, and Ice Glen; the last of the roles earned him a major supporting role Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Award. Sarbh returned to Mumbai in 2012 and began playing in local theatrical productions.
His performance as Happy Loman in the 2013 awakening of Death of Alyque seller Padamsee caught the attention of several commentators.Sarbh continued to perform in Mumbai plays, including The Glass Menagerie by RagProductions, The Merchant of Venice by Vickram Kapadia, Kalki Koechlin's Living Room, and debuted as a director and author with the 2014 Bull and Eat production respectively. He was on Forbes India's Under-30 list in 2015 for his contribution to the theater industry in Mumbai.
Sarbh made his feature debut with Ram Madhvani's biopic, Neerja, in 2016. He had two other releases in 2016: Yashodhara by Jyoti Patil and 3 ½ Takes by Daria Ghai. He has also worked on short films Mama's Boys by Akshat Verma, and Like Summer Like Rain by Gouri Dutt.
Sarbh has had two Bollywood releases in 2017: the thriller A Death in the Gunj and the love film Raabta. He also starred in Natasha Mendonca's first film, Ajeeb Ashiq, an independent film focusing on gender identity and human sexuality. The production has been screened at various film festivals across Europe. He plays Malik Kafur in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic novel Padmaavat in 2018, starring Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
