| Bindu is a popular Indian film actress in the 1970s, receiving several nominations. She has appeared in more than 160 films in a four-decade career , and her role as Shabnam is best remembered in Kati Patang (1970) . Bindu was born to the producer Nanubhai Desai and his wife Jyotsna in a small village called Hanuman Bhagda, in the Valsad district of Gujarat. Bindu's path to success was not easy. | Bindu had her first success with Ittefaq and Do Raaste in 1969. From there, she wrote her success story with Shakti Samanta's Kati Patang (1970). a number that is still considered today as one of the highlights of the film . The fascinating performances of Bindu in 1974 as a seductress at Imtihan and as a nymphomaniac at Hawas left the public asking for more. With a series of hits behind her, she has managed to break the myth that married actresses will not generally become sex symbols, especially in the Hindi film industry. She is the third point of the "Holy Trinity" of queens of article numbers. With Helen and Aruna Irani, Bindu defined the Bollywood cabaret dance number and the role of the Vamp .An imminent pregnancy, followed by a miscarriage , Caused a lull in her career and, on the advice of her doctors, she had to end her role as a glamorous "vamp" - the dance and all .
