Career
Ranganath made her debut in Kannada's film, Santha Shishunala Sharifa, in which she played Shareefa's wife, played by Sridhar. She then appeared in the film director Shankar Nag, C.B.I. Shankar. She appeared in Fareb (1996), her first Bollywood film, an Indian adaptation of Unlawful Entry (1992). She appeared as an Indo-American socialite in Aa Ab Laut Chalen (1999). In 2003, she appeared in Baghban.Ranganath was also part of a team of judges for Mr India World 2007.
