| Sridevi was born in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, India on August 13, 1963 in Ayyapan and Rajeshwari. His father was a lawyer in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu. His mother was from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. She has a sister and two half-brothers. Sridevi made her debut as a heroine in Solva Sawan's Hindi films in 1979. Four years later, she was signed to play alongside Jeetendra in Himmatwala. The film was released in 1983 and became one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.He established Sridevi in Bollywood and earned him the famous sobriquet 'Thunder Thighs'. His dance number "Nainon Mein Sapna" became a rage with Rediff stating that "the water pots dominated most of the frames in" Nainon mein sapna ", The following year, Tohfa came out and s' turned out to be the biggest hit of 1984. The film established that Sridevi was one of Bollywood's leading actresses.with Filmfare magazine declaring it "unquestionably No. 1" on their cover.
