Sonali Bendre  is an actress, model, television personality and Indian author. Mostly known for her work in Hindi films, she has also appeared in Tamil-language, Telugu, Marathi and Kannada films. One of the most popular actresses of Indian cinema, Bendre is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Filmfare Award. Bendre played in several box-office successes, including Diljale (1996) , the action thrillers Bhai and Qahar (both 1997), Major Saab (1998), Sarfarosh (1999), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999) and Hamara Dil. Aapke Paas Hai (2000) - and received critical recognition for his roles in the 1998 drama Zakhm and the 2001 detective comedy Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. After a brief appearance in Kal Ho Naa Ho, Bendre took a leave of absence from his full-time job in 2003 and made his comeback with the gangster thriller Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara. One of the most popular actresses of Indian cinema, Bendre is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Filmfare Award. She started as a model before being selected for the "Star Dust Talent Search". She has been invited to Mumbai and has been trained by various actors and performers in the Indian film industry. She would probably have been replaced by Ritesh Deshmukh. However, she chose not to participate in the show to give her dates for her return to the movie Once On a Time in Mumbai Dobaara! for a while, the chain did not speak to Bendre .  Her first role was in Aag in the year 1994 in front of Govinda.

Career

Although she first struggled to be a successful actress, she was finally acclaimed by critics for her performances at Diljale in 1996, followed by Bhai (1997), Sarfarosh, Zakhm, Duplicate, Kadhalar Dhinam ( Tamil film), Hum Saath-Saath Hain: We Stand United (1999), Tera Mera Saath Rahen (2001) and Anahat (2003), among others. She is also known to be one of the few actresses to have played against the four Khans (Shahrukh, Aamir, Salman and Saif). She has also played alongside Bollywood actors such as Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Ajay Devgn. She has also appeared in films such as Indra and Shankar Dada M.B.B.S. Bendre organized a dance show on television called Kya Masti Kya Dhoom ....!. On February 26, 2005, she also hosted the 50th Filmfare Awards with Saif Ali Khan and Farida Jalal.In June 2012, it was rumored that Bendre would stop judging India's Got Talent 4.
