| Saira Banu also known as Saira Bano, is an Indian actress and the wife of actor Dilip Kumar. She played in many Bollywood films between 1961 and 1988. Saira Banu was born in India by actress Naseem Banu and film producer Mian Ehsan-ul-Haq, who produced Phool in Mumbai and Wadah in Pakistan. His maternal grandmother was the courtesan Chamiyan Bai, also known as Shamshad Begum of Delhi (not to be confused with the well-known singer Shamshad Begum from Amritsar, Punjab). | Saira Banu was 16 in 1960, the year she made her Hindi debut . She said in a program that she had a basic talent and a little dance experience. Her peers all received classical training, which explains why she was not ranked in the top category. Saira started taking lessons from Kathak and Bharata Natyam successfully and trained professionally. Soon she became a dancer and her films show her dance more. Banu made her debut as an actress opposite Shammi Kapoor in the 1961 film Junglee, for which she received her first nomination as Best Actress. She decided not to sign anymore for other films, so in 1976 Saira chose to end her film career, after which she survived a storm in her married in 1980, when her husband married a girl named Asma, who was quickly resolved, and then appeared in a cameo opposite her husband in Duniya (1984), in which the song "Teri meri zindagi" became very popular His latest film Fais where it was sunk in front of Vinod Mehra which was completed in 1976, released in 1988.
