|Ratna Pathak is an Indian actress and director known for her work in Bollywood theater, television and movies. His many works at the theater include a series of plays in English and Hindi. She became famous when she appeared in the television series Idhar Udhar in the 1980s.
However, she is best known for her portrayal of Maya Sarabhai in the television series Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai. She has also performed supporting roles in films including the romantic drama Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008), the action comedy Golmaal 3 (2010), the romantic comedy Ek Mai Aur Ekk Tu (2012) and comedy drama Khoobsurat (2014). Kapoor and Sons (2016), followed by the hugely popular black comedy Lipstick Under My Burkha (2017) for which she was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. She married the famous Bollywood theater and actor Naseeruddin Shah in 1982.

|In addition to appearing in many blockbuster films, including Mirch Masala, Ratna Pathak has appeared as the bride in The Perfect Murder.She also starred in sitcom comedy Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai, for which she received the ITA Award for Best Comedy in 2005.
In July 2008, she appeared in the hit movie Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na as the protagonist's mother. Naseeruddin Shah played her husband, as a deceased person, who tells him about a portrait. She has also performed in several Russian plays, as well as co-founder and active member of the "Motley Theater Group". She appeared in the hit movie Golmaal 3 in front of Mithun Chakraborty. She was part of the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan Selection Committee for the 2012 Awards.
