While working on promotions for the Baaja Baaraat group, Chopra realized she wanted to become an actress and decided to resign from her senior position at Yash Raj Films to attend a theater school. Director Maneesh Sharma suggested signing Chopra to Aditya Chopra, president of Yash Raj Films. Dismayed by the idea of recruiting an actress in his marketing team, the vice president refused. When Parineeti Chopra told Sharma that she was leaving her job to attend theater school, he advised her to meet with the company's casting director who asked her to do an "audition". dummy". After a three-year sabbatical, Chopra returned to the cinema in 2017 with Yash Raj Films' romantic drama, Meri Pyaari Bindu, facing Ayushmann Khurana. She played the main character, Bindu (a budding singer), and debuted by singing with two versions of the song "Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin". Chopra then starred alongside Ajay Devgn in Rohit Shetty's comedy Golmaal Again, the fourth installment in the Golmaal film series.
In May 2018, Chopra has several projects under different stages of production. She completed Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar by Dibakar Banerjee and Namaste England by Vipul Amrutlal Shah alongside Arjun Kapoor. She has also confirmed that she is part of Akshay Kumar's film Kesari.
