Padmini Kolhapure is an Indian actress and singer, appeared mainly in Hindi films. During her successful career, she received two Filmfare Awards and was a popular actress in the 1980s. Kolhapure, at the age of fifteen, won the Filmfare Award for best supporting actress for her performance in the revenge drama Insaf Ka Tarazu (1981) and, at age seventeen, the Filmfare Award (1983), becoming the second youngest actress to win the awards in the respective categories. |

Career
In her childhood, she sang in choruses for films such as Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Kitab and Dushman Dost with her sister Shivangi. Her mother quit her job in the airline to become a full-time attendant while Padmini took on more roles. His most famous children's role was to play a child in Raj Kapoor's movie Satyam Shivam Sundaram in 1977. His success led to his most controversial role in Insaaf Ka Tarazu (1980), a remake of Lipstick (1976) , where she played the rape victim originally from Mariel Hemingway. She received the Best Supporting Actress award from Filmfare for her performance. Tags:
