| Neeti Mohan is an Indian singer. Born in Delhi, she was one of the winners of the TV reality show Popstars of V, later chosen for Aasma, along with other winners of the show. She became famous after recording "Ishq Wala Love" of Student of the Year (2012), finally winning the Filmfare RD Burman award for New Music Talent and was nominated for the best singer of "Jiya Re" by Jab Tak Hai Jaan . (2012). Her interpretation of six jazzy songs in Amit Trivedi's Bombay Velvet (2015) received a positive response from music critics. Career
| Neeti Mohan was born in Delhi. His father, Brij Mohan Sharma, is a government official and his mother, Kusum, is a housewife. Mohan is the eldest of four sisters; Shakti Mohan, Mukti Mohan and Kriti Mohan. Mohan initiated to learning music at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. During this time, she was involved in dramaturgy and dance; Considering singing as a "serious hobby".She then moved to Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, where she listened to the music and songs of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle . Mohan debuted in Bollywood with student of the year Vishal-Shekhar (2012), where she performed the sweet ballad "Ishq Wala Love" with Salim Merchant and Shekhar Ravjiani. She was then heard in Jab Tak Hai Jaan's "Jiya Re" which was composed by A.Rahman. Mohan noticed that Rahman called her to record the song, since she showed "a lot of wit" in the shows she did with him, and the song features a girl - played by Anushka Sharma - putting on stage the song "very brave". In 2017, Mohan recorded the Star Parivaar hymn of the year, "Khoobsurat Star Parivaar" alongside Jubin Nautiyal. She has also performed two songs for the web series "Mixtape" produced by the T-Series music label. The merger of Shanga's "Dua" and Phantom's "Saware", interpreted with Salim Merchant, has been well received by critics. Despite appearing in the single "Man Marziyan", she has been heard in several titles recorded for movies. Tags:
