|Madhuri Dixit Nene is an Indian actress known for her work in Hindi cinema. She was congratulated by the critics for her actress and dancer. She has received six Filmfare Awards, four for Best Actress, one for Best Supporting Actress and a Special Award for her contribution to the film industry. She was nominated for the Best Actress Filmfare Award for a record fourteen times and, along with Raakhee, she is the most nominated actress in the actress categories, with 16 nominations. The Indian government awarded him the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India in 2008.

|Dixit made his debut in Rajshri Productions' Abodh in 1984 against Bengali actor Tapas Paul. The film failed, but Dixit received positive reviews from critics. Aakash Barvalia on Gomolo praised her by writing "Madhuri excels in her role as a bride who performs well as a naive villager and does not realize what marriage actually entails." turned out to be another failure for Dixit. In 1990, Dixit starred in the romantic drama Dil against Aamir Khan. She played the role of a rich and arrogant girl who falls in love with a poorer boy and later leaves her to marry him. The film became the biggest box office hit in India and Dixit's performance earned her the Filmfare's Best Actress award for her career.
In 2011, Dixit received the Filmfare Special Award for completing 25 years in the film industry. It was a sequel to Ishqiya (2010), where she was interpreted as a co-wife "Begum Para" alongside Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Huma Qureshi.
Dixit is not only known for her acting skills, but also for her dance skills . Often called "Dhak Dhak Girl", she is famous for her dance in the song "Dhak Dhak Karne Laga" of the movie Beta.
