| Girija Oak debuted on the big screen at the age of 15. She has worked in Marathis films such as Goshta Choti Dongraevadhi, Gulmohar, Manini and Adgule Madgule. Her first Marathi television show as lead actress was Lajja de Zee Marathi with Piyush Ranade, Tejaswini Pandit and Mukta Barve. She portrayed a scandal victim, Manaswini Desai (Manu), supported by a young and dynamic IDC inspector, Aakash Ketkar (played by Piyush Ranade). The show was huge success and his work was very well received. She also played a leading role in the Marathi special gift playing with a versatile actor like Jitendra Joshi.
