Farida Jalal, born March 14, 1949 in New Delhi, India, began her career in the 1960s by winning the United United Producers Talent Hunt Award sponsored by Filmfare in 1965. She was selected with Rajesh Khanna and were presented on stage as the winners of the Filmfare Awards. She had her first film offer for Taqdeer of Tarachand Barjatya who happened to be in the audience. In an interview in 2014, she asked him, when asked the first part of his career: "I started my career as an actress when I had just left the convent St Joseph Panchgani, in a film called Taqdeer, Talent Contest and even won Kaka (Rajesh Khanna) and I were the finalists How do I know that I will be doing a movie with Aradhana soon?
Jalal played in Shararat (Thoda Jadu, Thodi Nazaakat), in which she played a leading role. The comedy is currently airing on Disney Channel.
In 2005, she co-hosted the 50th Filmfare Awards alongside Saif Ali Khan and Sonali Bendre in Mumbai. In 2008, she made a special appearance in the movie Punjabi Yaariyan. Recently, she appeared in the soap opera Balika Vadhu.In 2017, she was the victim of a death hoax. On February 19, rumors spoke of his death. Annoyed, the lady asked her publicist to put the rumors at rest.
