| Somy Ali is an actress, screenwriter, filmmaker, model, and Bollywood activist. She runs a non-profit organization called No More Tears. Somy Ali was born in Karachi, Pakistan. His mother Tehmina is Iraqi and his father Madan isPakistani. After studying at the convent of Jesus and Mary, Karachi until the age of 12, she, her mother and brother moved to Florida. Inspired by a teenage crush on Bolmanwood actor Salman Khan, Ali convinced his mother to allow him to move to Mumbai, India, at age 16. | Ali has been involved in modeling projects and has also appeared in Hindi films. She appeared in 10 Hindi films between 1991 and 1997, as a leader with the best Bollywood actors. During her stay in Mumbai, she was in contact with the main Bollywood actor for eight years, Salman Khan. In December 1999, she returned to Florida to continue her studies. She attended Nova Southeastern University in Florida, specializing in psychology, and completed her undergraduate degree in two years.
