| Ajith did not speak Tamil like a child, and only mastered it after becoming an actor. He dropped out of senior high school Asan Memorial in 1986 before finishing high school During his childhood, he had been a fan of Mr. G. Ramachandran, Jayalalithaa and Rajesh Khanna. In his teens, he became a fan of Tamil interim icons Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan. At 18, Ajith had to take a job to support his racing career. As an apprentice, he started as a merchandiser in a garment export company, occasionally making short advertisements in the press and television commercials. He had invested a lot of money in the races and borrowed tires from his friends who helped when the tracks ran out, because there was no money in the race at that time. Following an accident, several commercial agencies pushed him to model advertisements in the print media. He had to make a choice between the movies and the races, and as the movies happened and brought him money, he started to focus on it . He made his debut in En Veedu In Kanavar in a minor role as a student. |
