|Aditya Srivastava is a theater artist and Indian actor in film and television. He is best known for his role as Chief Inspector Abhijeet in the oldest procedure of the TV Police of India, C.I.D. He has also played key roles in the Bollywood films Satya, Gulaal, Paanch, Black Friday, Kaalo and Dil Se Pooch Kidhar Jana Hai among others.
Born in Allahabad on 21 July 1968 to Mrs. and Mrs. D.N. Srivastava, Aditya Srivastava is the eldest of four brothers and sisters. After completing his preliminary studies at Allahabad, he did his high school / Inter College of MGS Inter College, Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh as his father, a banker at the State Bank of India, was transferred to Sultanpur, in 1982. He graduated from Allahabad University before moving to Delhi in 1989 and later to Mumbai in 1995 for serious commercial theater assignments. While his family settled in Allahabad, he settled in Goregaon (E), Mumbai, with his wife, Mansi Srivastava, and his two daughters, Arushi and Adwika. In an interview with Joginder Tuteja, he said that he first lived in Andheri when he came to Mumbai and then moved to Goregaon.

|Aditya Srivastava continued her studies at Sangeet Samiti, Civil Lines, Allahabad. To hone his skills and pursue a career in acting, he moved to Delhi in 1989 and was involved in theater work at Sri Ram's Center of Performing Arts. Spotted by Shekhar Kapoor, he got his first break in the movie Bandit Queen, where he played Puttilal. After that, he moved to Mumbai in 1995. He did many voiceovers for promos and commercials.
He also played pivotal episodic roles in Byshkesh Bakshi, Rishtey and Aahat. Naya Daur, 9 hills of Malabar and Yeh Shaadi Nahi Ho Sakti have had him in full and prominent roles. He took a break on television in 1997 to make movies.
It was then offered to the C.I.D. in 1999, after B. P. Singh noticed it in Satya for playing Sr. Insp. Khandilkar, after Ashutosh Gowariker left to continue the direction. Although he played as a criminal in the C.I.D. episode "The case of the stolen pistol" by then. At first reluctant, he signs for only 26 episodes, which however extend later. He, today, is one of the pillars of the show. His character in the show is shown to be serious.
In the meantime, he has also made a lot of films. It was proposed to play the main role in Dil Pe Mat The Yaar by Hansal Mehta, but the role was later entrusted to Manoj Bajpayee, leaving him to play another important character in the same movie titled Tito, a contractor returned to Dubai. He even provided funds for the making of this film, so somehow co-produced. His first film as a unique male protagonist, Dil se Pooch Kidhar Jaana Hai, although it was a commercial failure, as the production house decided to release him without promotions, he earned him the appreciation of critics for his performance. Kaalo is another film with him in mind. He suffered a shoulder injury in a bus crash during the Kaalo shoot.
