- He is the son of music director Daboo Malik, who is the brother of Anu Malik.
- He started singing when he was just 4 years old, and learnt singing from Rita Kaul and Qadir Mustafa Khan in his early days.
- He took part in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs, but got eliminated at the 7th position in 2006.
- He got his big break in 2008, where he sung the song Mere Buddy alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
