Career
Kapoor made his debut in Hindi cinema in 1995 with the film Prem, opposed to newcomer Tabu. Although the two newcomers had quite decent performances, the film was delayed for many years because it was in production since 1989. At its release, it bombed at the box office.
Kapoor's next film was Raja,opposite Madhuri Dixit, which was a box office hit. He then starred in several films as a lead actor, such as Auzaar, Mohabbat and Sirf Tum . He did not have much success as a principal actor because most of his films failed at the box office.In 2002, he appeared as a villain playing the psychotic husband of Esha Deol in Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe. His performance was hailed by critics He made his television debut in 2003 appearing in the television series Karishma - The miracles of fate in front of Karisma Kapoor. He has played supporting roles in films like Qayamat: City Under Menace, Julie,Luck By Chance and Shaandaar. He turned to production with his first production Tevar with the release of his nephew Arjun Kapoor in 2015.He played a cameo alongside his brother Anil for the first time in Mubarakan.In 2017, he was screened in Vikram Bhatt's television series, Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara, in front of Smriti Kalra. The show is about a man who marries a girl much younger than him and the way they try to make their marriage work. |
