Mehta completed her Master's degree in Commerce at the University of Mumbai. He has also been trained in dance forms including jazz, hip-hop, break, folk, salsa and contemporary. He is a qualified salon dancer who has learned under the direction of Sandip Soparrkar, the greatest dance teacher in India and Bollywood choreographer.
He represented the state of Maharashatra at the AIDSF (All India Dance Sport) championship in June 2011. He was a silver medalist in the Latin Ballroom (rumba) category and a gold medalist in the Standard Ballroom (waltz) category.
In 2012, Mehta married singer Jankee Parekh.
Mehta became famous with the role of Aditya Harish Kumar in the hit show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara.
He did commercials, video clips and was associated with the theater for a long time. After juggling his modeling career, he made his Bollywood debut with the film Haal E Dil against Amita Pathak. He has also appeared in the short Avant Garde, which has been featured in film festivals around the world. In 2015, he hosted India's Got Talent season 6.
It was then seen in the new I Do not Watch TV original web series, published on the online content platform Arre. Produced by Timbuktu Films, it is a satire of the Indian television industry and also the Bollywood film critic Rajeev Masand. The series presents the daily struggle of television actors in a satirical way. In addition to Mehta, it also features popular television actors like Disha Parmar, Sanaya Irani, Rithvik Dhanjani, Kritika Kamra, Drashti Dhami and Karan Wahi.
Mehta is currently seen in front of Surbhi Chandna in the popular TV show Ishqbaaaz as Shivaay Singh Oberoi. He also appeared in the spin-off of the show, Dil Boley Oberoi. |
