In 2009, he gets his big break in the role of Naitik Singhania at Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He continued with the show for nearly seven and a half years until June 2016. Along with that, he participated in the Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye Shriman v / s Shrimati dance performances with his wife Nisha Rawal in 2012- 13. In October 2016, Mehra entered the Bigg Boss house as a competitor with his co-star YRKKH Rohan Mehra. He was deported in the fifth week as the first celebrity to be deported. He then made a short stay in Khatmal E Ishq under the name of Sumit Mishra. Basthi Hai Sasthi, Mehra's new film, talks about the intensification of the game and how to deal with reality.
