Career
At the beginning of Sachdev's career, he was interested in cinema and modeling. He has also won several titles such as Mr. Baroda, Mr. University and Mr. Gujarat (2004-2005) which forced him to participate in the hunt for the model Gladrags. Later, he took acting projects to develop film skills.
Interim Career
His first notable acting role was in a TVS Scooty advertisement. Later, he made several television commercials for Cadbury Dairy Milk, eBay's GRT Jewelers and Sun Feast. Sachdev got his first television role in the soap opera Karam Apna Apna (2006) and was finalized for leading roles in Sapna Babul Ka ... Bidaai and Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari. However, Dev in Chotti Bahu (2008) was his first lead role. He earned him an Indian Telly Award for Fresh New Face (2009) and a Zee Rishtey Award for the popular male face of the year 2009. In 2013, he played the main character Shlok Agnihotry in Iss Pyaar's Ko Kya Naam Doon? ... Ek Baar Phir. In 2015, Sachdev joined the cast of Qubool Hai Season 4 as a leader. Balika Vadhu season 2 (2016) was his third television project with Sphere Origins.
Leading a career
Sachdev first worked as a volunteer assistant director on Hatim (2004) when he was 18 years old. He also helped Farhan Akhtar in Rock On !! (2008). In 2016, Sachev made his debut as a director with a short online travel documentary, Mumbai to Ladakh, based on his personal road trip to Ladakh. In the same year, he published his second online travel documentary, Trek to Anjanari.
Private life
In 2012, Sachdev embarked on the adventure by opening several fashion boutiques in Mumbai. In 2015, he married his Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? ... Ek Baar Phir co-star and television writer Shalmalee Desai. They separated in 2017.
International tours and stage performances
Although Sachdev is not a frequent stage artist, he has participated in several world tours and concerts. In 2010, 2011 and 2012, he played in Zee Night Concerts around the world with Rubina Dilaik, co-star of Chotti Bahu. He participated in Zee Heroes with a concert of Mamta Sharma (2012) and Udit Narayan with Zee stars concert (2013) in South Africa. Sachdev worked as event manager during his latest Show Time Creations concerts in South Africa. |
