|Ali Mohammad Zafaris a Pakistani singer-songwriter, model, actor and painter . Zafar began on Pakistani television before becoming a popular musician. He then established a career in Hindi cinema and his success has led many Pakistani actors to venture into Hindi films. Zafar began his career as a music composer and gained popularity with his single "Channo" from his debut album Huqa Pani, which has sold more than five million copies worldwide. "Channo" turned out to be a huge hit, topping many music charts and earning several awards for the best music and artist album.
Ali Zafar was born in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan to a Punjabi family. Zafar received his early education from C.A.A. Public school. He graduated from Lahore Government College and the National College of Arts.

|Zafar began his career as a draftsman at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore and then began to play in television series. He made his debut as a television actor playing in dramatic dramas Kollege Jeans, Kanch Ke Par and Landa Bazar.

After his fame, Zafar performed for the first time at the 3rd Lux Style Awards in 2004. The following year, he made his stage number at the 4th Lux Style Awards. He then sang live songs at the 5th Lux Style Awards in 2006 and 6th Lux Style Awards in 2007, then performed a dance with Reema Khan at the 2007 ceremony. He also performed at the Mela Festival in Oslo, Norway in 2008.
In 2012, Zafar performed at the 11th Lux Style Awards with Humaima Malick and also paid tribute to musician Mehdi Hassan by singing his ghazal "Mujhe Tum Nazar Sai".
In the tenth season of Coke Studio Pakistan, Zafar played four songs, having been featured in the promo song "Qaumi Taranah". He played his original "Julie" alongside his brother Danyal Zafar on guitar under the production of Shani Arshad, and "Yo Soch" with Natasha Khan in the production of Strings. He also paid tribute to Master Inayat Hussain by performing "Jaan-e-Bahaaraan" solo under the production of Shuja Haider, and to Junaid Jamshed by "Us Rah Par" with Ali Hamza ft. Strings under the production of Jaffer Zaidi.
On October 27, Zafar performed at the MTV Unplugged India concert with Ayushmann Khurrana at the Dubai Tennis Stadium.
