He was born in 08 November 1989 in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India.He is a popular actor. He has played in are Nenjamellam Kadhal, Richie, Kootathil Oruthan, Sila Samayangalil and 144. He  an Indian film actor who works prominently in Tamil films. He made his breakthrough playing one of the lead roles in Soodhu Kavvum in 2013, before gaining critical acclaim for his performances in C. V. Kumar's productions Pizza II: Villa in 2013 and Thegidi in 2014. He was then selected to replace Vaibhav Reddy in Deepan Chakravarthy's psychological thriller Pizza II: Villa, a second film in C. V. Kumar's Pizza franchise. Portraying an English novel writer in the film, the film told the story of eerie happenings in a villa owned by Ashok's character. He collaborated with C. V. Kumar again in his third film, Thegidi, a murder mystery story directed by another newcomer P.Ramesh. He auditioned for the role in Pizza and was rejected. Nalan Kumaraswamy offered him a role in Soodhu Kavvum, a black comedy after seeing him in an advertisement.

Career

Ashok gave an audition for roles in the production of Prakash Raj, Inidhu Inidhu and Bharat Bala, but was rejected. While his wrestling phase was underway, he chose to assist the director AR Murugadoss and he had the opportunity to act in the film 7aam Arivu for some scenes as friends of Suriya but his scenes were edited in the last cut. Later, he appeared in Billa 2 directed by ChakriToleti, where Ashok's childhood picture was used as a younger version of Ajith Kumar.
