|Paoli Dam (born October 4, 1980) is an Indian actress who began her career in 2004 with the television series Bengali Jibon Niye Khela. She then worked in Bengali soap operas such as Tithir Atithi and Sonar Harin; the first ran for six years on ETV Bangla.
In 2011, she received international recognition for her role in the Bengali Chatrak film. The film was screened at the Cannes Film Festival and film festivals in Toronto and the United States. In 2012, Dam made his Bollywood debut in Hate Story and appeared in Vikram Bhatt's Ankur Arora Murder Case, directed by Sohail Tatari.
Dam's first film is Agnipariksha, directed by Rabi Kinagi. Between 2006 and 2009, she appeared in five Bengali films, becoming famous with the Kaalbela 2009, directed by Goutam Ghose.
She won the Viewers' Choice Award for Best Actress for her performance at Natoker Moto at the 2016 Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival
Dam spent his childhood in Kolkata earning a postgraduate degree in chemistry from Rajabazar Science College.
Initially, she wanted to become a researcher in chemistry or pilot. Her first Bengali film, Teen Yaari Katha, directed by Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha, debuted in 2004, but was only released in 2012.

|Dam was born in Calcutta, West Bengal, to a Bengali family from Faridpur district, Bangladesh. His father and his mother are Amol and Papiya Dam respectively. She also has a brother, Mainak.
She earned a postgraduate degree in chemistry from the Rajabazar Science College of Calcutta University.
She learned classical dance and was interested in theater from an early age, but she never aspired to become an actor. Initially, she wanted to become a researcher in chemistry or pilot. During her childhood, Dam also took singing lessons
Dam attended Loreto School in Bowbazar before taking his senior high school exam. She was a good student and won scholarships.
Dam was admitted to Vidyasagar College, affiliated with the University of Calcutta, graduating with a degree in Chemistry.
