Archana Galrani (born October 10, 1989), better known as Sanjjanaa, is an Indian model and a movie actress. She made her film debut in the Tamil film Oru Kadhal Seiveer (2006), and was soon noted after her controversial role in the film Kannada Ganda Hendathi (2006). Her supporting role in the Telugu 2008 Bujjigadu film directed by Puri Jagannadh brought her to the spotlight in the Telugu industry. She is well known for her role as Chandri in the bilingual scenario multi starrer superhit crime drama film Dandupalya 2 (2017)

Early years and personal life

Traced to Bengaluru, Sanjjanaa is native of Sindhi. When she was doing her PUC, she received her first modeling offer. She continued her studies by working as a part-time model. [8] She appeared in more than 60 TV commercials, [8] most notable being a Fastrack commercial with John Abraham.

She has a sister Nikki Galrani, who is also an actress.


Debut (2005)
After participating in some advertisements and cameo roles not credited in the films Soggadu and Panduranga Vittala, she had her first starring role at Ganda Hendathi. [8] His first release, however, became the low-budget Tamil film, Oru Kadhal Seiveer, which met with negative reviews and mediocre box office returns. S R Ashok Kumar of The Hindu noted that Sanjjanaa, then credited under her birth name, was "beautiful but must work on her actor". Ganda Hendathi, a remake of Kannada from the Hindi film Murder (2004), herself an adaptation of the Hollywood film Unfaithful (2002), has also been described by critics. The film was broadcast in Telugu as Mogudu Pellam O Boy Friend. Sanjjanaa's performance gave rise to mixed reviews, with a critic of claiming that she "absolutely failed to deliver" in the emotional sequences, while Sify wrote, "Sanjjanaa made her decent debut and she is extremely daring and does justice to her role. " In 2008, she made her debut in Telugu Cinema in Bujjigadu of Puri Jagannadh, where she played a notable role alongside Prabhas and Trisha Krishnan. Although his role is small, the film caught his attention and helped him grow. In 2010, she was seen for the first time in the Telugu police film, which was followed by a cameo role in Huduga Hudugi. His final version of this year was Mylari who presented his opposite Shivrajkumar. It was the biggest stage of her career in Kannada as she was then inundated with offers in the Kannada cinema. In January 2012, she played one of the leading female roles in Casanovva, her first Malayalam venture. She shared a space with southern Indian popular actress Pooja Gandhi in a bilingual film of Dandupalya 2 (2017), where she received a critical appraisal of critics and audience for her natural performance in the film Chandri.
