Farzana (Born Farzana Barucha in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India) is an Indian actress, choreographer and model. She mostly appeared in Telugu and Tamil films.
Farzana began her career as a professional dancer and choreographer. She has done choreography for many fashion shows and albums. As a choreographer, she worked with Adnan Sami's shows. His most remarkable choreography was for the title song of the film Zinda 2006 of Sanjay Dutt. Later, she became a professional model for brands including Hero Honda, Sansui, Godrej Hair Care and Big Bazaar.
She was seen by director Nidhi Prasad who signed her for a lead role in her film Bhagyalakshmi Bumper Draw which was Telugu's remake of the Bollywood comedy film Malamaal Weekly written and directed by Priyadarshan. Having started a career in a comic strip film, she was created as a cinematic heroine.
Farzana has starred in films such as Seema Sastri, Bommana Brothers Chandana Sisters, Gajibiji and Kuberulu, all comic films. She danced in the film Mallepuvvu with Muralikrishna and Bhumika Chawla.
In 2009, she entered the Kollywood film industry and won the lead role in the film Tamil 1977, starring Sarath Kumar and Namitha.
Farzana is an expert in nutrition and enjoys adventure sports such as paragliding, climbing and bungee jumping. She was a trainer of the sportswear company Reebok International Limited.
