Amar Choudary, better known by his stage name Jiiva, is an Indian film actor, producer, singer, philanthropist, model and dancer mainly appears in Tamil films. Son of film producer R. B. Choudary, he began his career as a child actor in his father's films in 1995.

He played his first role in the romantic film Aasai Aasaiyai in 2003, before performing in Raam (2005), for which he won the best actor award at the Cyprus International Film Festival. In his next films, he took on roles such as a stuntman at Dishyum (2006), a slum in E (2006), a psychopath in Kattradhu Thamizh (2007) and a photojournalist in the political thriller Ko (2011).

Career

Jiiva appeared for the first time as a child artist in tiny roles in two of her father's productions. He made his acting debut in 2003 with Aasai Aasaiyai [3] and Thithikudhe (2003). His release, the mysterious thriller of Ameer Raam (2005) was screened at the Goa International Film Festival and later at the Cyprus International Film Festival, where he won the Best Actor Award.

Jiiva then played in Dishyum (2006). Later in the year, Jiiva debuted at the Malayalam cinema with the war film of Major Ravi Keerthi Chakra, who saw an exit nicknamed Aran in Tamil Nadu. His final 2006 version was E. He then played in Kattradhu Thamizh (2007) graduate of the middle class in the Tamil literature, gradually transforming a psychopath, frustrated by the inequality of the social structure . While the film opened to rave reviews, the representation of Jiiva as Prabhakar was hailed by critics and widely described as best in 2007; a review by Behindwoods described him as "the performance of his life" [10], while Rediff wrote that he was "endearing as a vulnerable young Prabha, perfect like the ganja smoking almost crazy and scary as the Tamil graduate frustrated ". ["It was, in a word, simply superb". Jiiva had pushed a long beard for the character and cited difficulties during the taking of the film, which he considered his most painful experience and a "tortuous affair". He said he had to undergo therapy to "get out of the character" because he was "too emotional." Sify called the film "commercial catastrophe."

Private life

Jiiva was born on 4 January 1984 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, cinema producer by R. B. Choudary and Mahjabeen. He is the youngest of the four brothers. His older brother, B. Suresh, is a co-producer at Super Good Films, while his second brother, Jeevan, is an entrepreneur in the steel industry. His third brother is Jithan Ramesh, an actor in the Tamil film industry.

On November 21, 2007, Jiiva married her childhood friend Supriya in New Delhi. Sophia graduated in MBA and interior architect by profession. The first two met in 1994 when he was studying at a school in T Nagar. They have a son named Sparsh born in 2010.

From 1998 to 2002, he learned Mansuria Kung Fu under the supervision of R. Shekhar.
