What buzzes in commercial circles and what comes from the proximity of the producer is quite contrasting when it comes to the latest Mass Raja film "Nela Ticket". Although the film is ready for the May 24th release, theatrical rights cases are not over, here is a shock.
The producer Ram Talluri would bet big on Nela Ticket from the beginning. And he packed the entire film under the budget of 30 crores including that of paying 10 huge crores to Mass Raja.
That said, he has already sold the satellite, dubbing and digital rights of the film for 24 crores to one-third. This means that a massive investment is already being recovered by these transactions and that the producer only needs nominal amounts to make a profit.
With his latest film, a flop of epic proportions, "Touch Chesi Choodu" movie rights sold for almost 25 crores, at this point the producer expects Nela Ticket to make at least 20 crores in terms of rights.
Although they require more than 25 at the moment, in the end they only sell 20 crores. But that pushes the producer into the profit of almost 15 crores, does not it?
While Telugu movies make the biggest noise in North India these days, many big digital and satellite buyers are investing heavily in Telugu movies.
This is the reason why Raviteja's films recover more than 20 crores thanks to the rights of the satellites and that is why Mass Raja also demands a huge remuneration.
