The Indian epic Mahabharata is known as one of the complex scenarios in the world. We will not find such a variety of characters and characterizations. The lead authors say that you will not find a single waste character throughout the epic, even if the character is small. This is the reason why many Indian celebrities show interest in making a film about Mahabharata.
The star director Rajamouli has already revealed that Mahabharata is his dream project. Even Aamir Khan also showed interest in the Mahabharata and said he would like to play the character of Sri Krishna in the film.
Media reports that filmmakers in Malayalam are planning Mahabharata with a budget of 1,000 rupees. But there is no other update on the project. Kannada's filmmakers are already making a Kurukshetra movie based on Mahabharata with Darshan.
Now another name has been added to the list of manufacturers who wanted to take Mahabharata. He is none other than Krish. We know that Krish is currently working on 'Manikarnika' with Kangana Ranaut. He would have started the script work for the Mahabharata project based on the novel by SL Bhyrappa 'Parva'.
Kannada's novel is a modern take on Mahabharata and how the characters will be without divine powers. The novel has been translated into several languages, including Telugu.
Krish has not yet responded to reports of his new project. Considering all these developments, one would have the feeling that several films were made on Mahabharata at the moment when Rajamouli started his Mahabharata.
