Sometimes, two contrary reports appearing on the same media publications will surely drive the public into confusion. A similar thing happens with the film "Tholiprema" and some media agencies. They say that Varun Tej and Raashi Khanna starrer are the first blockbuster of 2018 on the one hand and on the other hand they add that Dil Raju also loses money on Tholiprema. How is it that a blockbuster comes to trouble the pockets of the distributor? The reality is that Tholiprema has opened up to mind-blowing collections from day one and the film has garnered nearly 18+ crores to share in its week-long box office run. And then, the numbers are strong even on the second Monday (today) if we have to talk by steps to theaters. In all probability, the film will collect around 25-29 crores from box office, even if another film becomes a blockbuster next Friday. But until the release of Rangasthalam on March 30, there are not many hype movies that could really stop the good series of movies like Tholiprema and Bhaagamthie.
Now, some media agencies say Dil Raju has bought Tholiprema's entire theatrical rights for 18 crores and is going to end up with losses. Already Raju has been managed around 21.2 million shares after 9 days of racing and being himself a distributor, he would get nearly 29 crores 'net' gross collections of more than 40 crores. So, how does Dil Raju get unlucky with this movie? It's probably a kind of crying on the producer who passes, is not it? We hear that many media agencies are angry at Dil Raju and, therefore, this negative image about him. They say that Raju is the one who formed a union (LLP) and give ads to only four top television channels and two newspapers, but completely avoiding others. For this reason, the other media insist that Tholiprema is a success but that Raju burns his hands.
