These days, Telugu music directors and composers are more dependent on the copy of the popular tunes, so many people coming out with the originals, even those who do not know that they have copied, now watch each melody with suspicion. SS Thaman became the composer who was taken most of the time.
Again, another stamp of SS Thaman is labeled as a copy. Before that, it was said, having copied his songs from popular Italian songs and also from old songs. His song Gala Gala by Race Gurram, Pilla Chav by Businessman, was the most popular.
Now, for his new song from Mahanubhavudu, the director of music said he copied a melody from the old film Subhodayam. In the film, "Ghandhamu Puyaru ga" composed by K.V. Mahadevan was the most popular and this melody is supposed to be copied by Thaman for the song Mahanubhavudive. Is it because he took the same raga or did he really think that nobody will catch him because this is an old movie song? We have to wait for Thaman's clarification on this.
