After playing a quadriplegic patient in Oopiri who was a successful actor, Nagarjuna is preparing for another unconventional film, a devotional film. After classics like "Annamayya", "Sri Ramadasu" and "Shirdi Sai", Nag collaborated with K Raghavendra Rao on another film "Om Namo Venkatesaya" (ONV) where he will be considered a faithful follower of Lord Balaji.
Designed to be the story of Baba Hathiram, the 18th century aficionado of Lord Venkateshwara, the film tells her life and her times. Anushka Shetty will be seen in a role noted Krishnamma, as a fiery faithful of Lord Balaji. His role has been to help the film take the story forward. The film has the music of ac composer MM Keeravani.
After getting the rave response to his teaser, manufacturers are planning to have a large audio launch on January 8 in Hyderabad. It is expected to have who is who is from the Tollywood fraternity outside the distribution of the film and the crew. However, the place is still to be settled.
