In recent days, Tollywood is gaining more attention from other film industries with Telugu People. People from other industries like Kollywood and Bollywood show their interest in remaking Tollywood movies. The telugu cinema industry (TFI) has a growing audience and they encourage all sorts of films that the mentality of people changes from time to time. Many movies in Tollywood are now reaching and even crossing 100 crore club.
Bollywood movies like Krish-3, Chennai Express, Ram Leela crossed 150 crore rupees but it came with the help of overseas income since people from every corner of the country watched these films in large numbers. But, for Tollywood, it's not an easy thing to get that score. Even Attarintiki Dareedi film that is on record has not reached 100 crore club. But Magadheera, a Rajamouli film tried to reach 100 crore club but unfortunately it stopped near that amount, that is, 74 crores. But as the amount is close, we can say that TFI is competing with Bollywood.
In recent days, 100 crore is a word we hear from all the major directors of Tollywood, as they are very curious to reach the Bollywood brand. As Bollywood has more audience compared to Tollywood, it is common for them to reach or cross 100 crore club. But coming to the Tamil film industry, they have a limited audience, but they have already crossed the bar. For many years the Tamil industry has made their audience feel wow and win their impression from time to time and now they have also gone through 100 crore club at the box office.
But now, here is the miracle. Tollywood recorded the second largest marketable film industry in the world at the box office collections. This is very good news for any TFI and Telugu. After Bollywood, Telugu films won public interest and they receive the films as well as the films are directed only.
Stylish Star Allu Arjun film "Sarrainodu" was one of the top 10 biggest Telugu movies in 2016. Oopiri and Nannaku Prematho occupied following venues. Nenu Sailaja's film collected an impressive amount at the box office and four major films such as Nannaku Prematho, "Dictator", "Express Raja" and "Soggade Chinni Nayana" released for Sankrathi and three of them were beaten while the Dictator failed at the box office.
Budget films that were made and released in 2016 became shocks of surprise and no one expected that people will receive budget films so good. More than 35 films were released in February and March. Among them, Oopiri and Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha were large-circulation films that collected a good amount and the remaining small films failed to impress people and remained like flops. Kshanam was a surprising success and some of the movies became middle and remaining are flops.
In April, successful films like Savitri, Attack and Sardar Gabbar Singh failed at the box office, while the films Sarrainodu and eedo Rakam Aado Rakam had an unexpected success.
