Arjun Rampal (born November 26, 1972) is an Indian actor, producer, model and television personality. He made his acting debut in the romance of Rajiv Rai Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat (2001). Rampal was appreciated for his performance and received several awards for his work in the film, including a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best First Male.

Rampal was born on November 26, 1972 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India, to a family of military origin. His maternal grandfather, Brigadier Gurdayal Singh, designed the first artillery gun for the Indian army after independence His paternal family is Hindu Punjabi, while his maternal grandfather was Sikh and his maternal grandmother was Dutch.
