Srinu Vaitla is an Indian director associated with the Telugu cinema. It is from the village of Kandulapalem, East Godavari district. His first film as director was Nee Kosam (1999) with Ravi Teja and Maheswari. Although the film was an average film at the box office, it was critically acclaimed. He turned to fame with his second film Anandam (2001), released in 2001. He made his own impression on the comedy of Telugu cinema. More importantly, he is known for the implementation of the parabolic narrative for the first time in Indian cinema. This can be seen in his films Venky, Dhee, Dubai Seenu and Ready. He played Scotch in the Rainbow and Parama Veera Chakra films. One of the biggest hits of his career was Dookudu with Mahesh Babu and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Since Venky, Gopimohan and Kona Venkat have been screenwriters for his films.

He has worked with the best actors in Tollywood such as N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Ram Charan, Ravi Teja
